YOUR Whole Child Deserves Our Whole Attention
When students enjoy different activities at school, they come to understand that all the doors in life are open to them. We believe that a well-rounded education with essential support and services will give them the experiences they need to identify and pursue their passionate interests after graduation.
We strive to bring fresh, kid-friendly, and delicious meals to students. Community Kitchen, a local organization, provides us with healthy, cost-effective meals while reducing food waste. Our edible schoolyard gives students freshly grown vegetables as they learn about science, our earth, and our food supply.
School uniforms promote self-confidence, pride, and a feeling of belonging at school. They also remove the pressures and stress of meeting peers’ expectations. For grades K–5, we have a uniform policy, while grades 6–12 have a dress code.
Transportation is provided by the district you reside in. Please connect with your home district for more information regarding transportation.
ECS provides a school counselor, a school social worker, and a school nurse in each of our four buildings.
We provide free, appropriate public education to students with disabilities in accordance with state and federal regulations. In PA, the provision of special ed services is governed by Chapter 14.
After-school care for grades K-5 is provided in partnership with YMCA and Venture Outdoors. YMCA also offers a summer camp at our primary building.
Activities out of school time promote physical and social skills that contribute to whole-child development. We offer half-day adventures for primary and intermediate students, clubs, athletics, and other activities to capture the imagination of our learners.
Teaching students how to take care of themselves is an essential part of education. We have a School Nurse on-site to guide and support wellness. After-school sports keep students active while learning teamwork and leadership skills.
Our dedicated team of community partners provides experiences, resources, and connections that make a key difference in the lives of our scholars. Together, we're closing the gap and creating more equitable educational opportunities!
